ALBAHAAR ("the App") is an AI-powered fishing assistant designed for fishers and fishing enthusiasts in Tunisia and the Mediterranean region. The app provides marine weather data, AI coaching, fish activity scores, and fishing spot management.

The app requests your location only while the app is in use (foreground). We use it to:
Your GPS coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (open-source weather API) and are never stored in our database.
When you chat with عم الحبيب (the AI fishing coach), your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. We do not store your conversation history. Anthropic's privacy policy applies: anthropic.com/privacy

Camera: Used only when you choose to photograph a fishing spot you saved. Photos are stored locally on your device or uploaded to your account in Supabase.
Microphone: Used only when you start a voice call with another fisher in the app. Audio is transmitted peer-to-peer via LiveKit and is not recorded or stored.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers. Data is shared only with the third-party services listed above, solely to provide the app's functionality.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at h.jendoubi@web.de. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.
AI conversation data is not retained after each session ends.
ALBAHAAR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.
We may update this policy. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
